What it costs to list a vac truck for sale

Listing on Vac4Sale starts free and never takes a commission. Paid tiers buy two things: a listing that does not expire while you are still selling, and placement above the organic results.

Weekly or monthly?

Monthly costs less per day; weekly is easier to stop. Both periods carry exactly the same listing — the only difference is how often it renews and what it costs while it runs.

Listing price by tier and billing period, including cost per day
PlanWeeklyMonthly
FreeFree for 30 daysFree for 30 days
Standard$75 / week ($10.71 a day)$200 / month ($6.67 a day)
Featured$150 / week ($21.43 a day)$500 / month ($16.67 a day)

Pick weekly for a machine you expect to move quickly, or while you are still testing an asking price. Pick monthly for standing dealer inventory and for any unit likely to take more than a few weeks to find the right buyer — most specialized vacuum equipment does. You can switch period at renewal.

What every listing includes

The listing page itself is identical at every tier, including free. Paying changes how long the listing runs and where it sits, never what a buyer sees when they open it.

  • Its own indexable page, so buyers searching your exact make, model and year land on your truck
  • Structured specifications — debris and water capacity, blower CFM, water GPM and PSI, boom reach, hours and mileage
  • Direct buyer contact by email and phone, with each channel published only if you choose to publish it
  • Inquiries forwarded to your inbox, so you reply to the buyer rather than through a message center
  • Listing analytics: how many buyers viewed the page
  • No commission, no success fee and no buyer premium on the sale

New to selling vacuum equipment online? The buying guide is written for buyers, but the specification sections tell you exactly which numbers serious buyers look for first — filling those fields in is the cheapest thing you can do to increase inquiries.

Pricing questions

Straight answers on cost, commission, cancellation and billing.

How much does it cost to list a vac truck for sale on Vac4Sale?

Listing on Vac4Sale starts free. A free listing runs 30 days with the full listing page, photos and direct buyer contact. Paid listings do not expire while the subscription is active: Standard is $75 a week or $200 a month, and Featured is $150 or $500 for the same two periods. There is no commission on the sale at any tier.

Is the free listing genuinely free?

Yes. A free listing needs no card, runs 30 days and includes the same listing page, photo and video allowance, specification fields and direct buyer contact as a paid one. What it does not include is featured placement or automatic renewal — when the 30 days are up the listing comes off the site until you relist it, which takes one click because everything you entered is kept.

What does a Featured listing actually buy?

A Featured listing is pinned above the organic results everywhere it appears: the home page rail, the browse grid, its equipment category page and its state or province page. It also carries a Featured badge in the grid. It does not change the listing page itself, and it does not affect how search engines rank the listing — it changes where a buyer already on Vac4Sale sees your truck. Featured placement is bought per billing period and stops when the subscription does.

Does Vac4Sale take a commission when the equipment sells?

No. Vac4Sale charges for the listing and nothing else. There is no commission, no success fee, no buyer's premium and no escrow charge, because Vac4Sale is not a party to the sale — the buyer contacts you directly and you agree terms with them. The price on this page is the entire cost of selling here.

Should I pay weekly or monthly?

Monthly is cheaper per day and weekly is easier to stop. A Standard listing works out at $10.71 per day on the weekly plan against $6.67 per day on the monthly plan. Weekly suits a unit you expect to move fast or a price you are still testing; monthly suits standing dealer inventory and any machine likely to take more than a few weeks to sell. You can switch periods when a listing renews.

What happens when my listing expires or I cancel?

The listing comes off the public site, and everything in it is kept — photos, videos, documents, specifications and contact preferences. On a paid listing, marking it sold or removing it does two things at once: it takes the listing off Vac4Sale and Hydrovac News immediately, and it stops the subscription renewing, so you are not charged again. Mark it sold rather than removing it when the equipment has actually sold, so buyers can see the outcome. Starting again later means a new subscription from the sell page; a free listing can be relisted in one click from the dashboard.

Does the price include listing on Hydrovac News?

Yes, at every tier including free. Vac4Sale and Hydrovac News share one listing database, so opting your listing into Hydrovac News costs nothing extra and requires no second post. The listing keeps a single canonical page, so the two sites never compete with each other in search results for the same truck.

How is payment handled, and can I get an invoice?

Payments are processed by Stripe. Vac4Sale never sees or stores your card number — the card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page. Paid listings are recurring subscriptions, so they renew automatically until you stop them, and every charge emails you a Stripe receipt with the invoice attached. Need an older invoice, or to change the card on file? Email us and we will sort it out.

Do you offer pricing for dealers listing a whole fleet?

Yes — get in touch. The self-serve prices on this page are built for one listing at a time, and a dealer running standing inventory of a dozen or more units is a different conversation. Contact us with a rough unit count and how often it turns over, and we will come back with something that fits.
